What being recovered feels like

Being recovered from eating disorders feels great

To recover, gain weight.

A list of some things I no longer physically have:

  • exercise compulsion

  • dizziness

  • orthostatic hypotension

  • dehydration

  • fatigue

  • low blood pressure

  • bradycardia - slow heart rate

  • constantly cold - even when I was living in Hawaii I was freezing!

A list of some things I no longer mentally have:

  • food thoughts - only think about food 5% of time, shortly before I eat, not 95%

  • Mental freedom from eating disorder means I:

  • don't need to socially isolate

  • have a better social life

  • exercise out of joy

  • eating is easy and enjoyable
